for the love of god why arent there any instructions that come with this thing. i just want to know how to customize and calibrate profiles without just having to do alot of guess work. there are so many little things i dont understand as far as the interface on this software.
for instance, why is there a list of games in the track ir profiles, that do not seem to be of any use. its just a list of games, that seems like they are supposed to be availabe profiles to use, but you cant use them. makes no sense. it really pisses me off that this product comes with virtually 0 instruction on how to use it.
then when you just get frustrated and create your own profile, you have no idea how to customize or calibrate the damn thing so it works the way you want it to.
if i had a fu@#ing instruction manual i wouldnt have to come on the forums, and be frustrated. im not an idiot, i just wasnt born knowing how to use all of track ir wonderful tools.
i dont want to waste hours and hours of my time using the trial and error methodology to figure out how to have fun with my toys.
this thing really needs an instruction manual that covers customization and calibration. the fact that the only support options you really have are to go to forum really pisses me off.
id rather have an instruction manual.
can anyone tell me where i can read a detailed comprehensive instruction manual for track ir.
im not sorry for being frustrated. I really like the track ir product, but i CANT BELIEVE theres no instruction manual.
please help. all I frickin want to do is read through a detailed comprehensive instruction manual, so that I understand how it all works.

Take 2 asprins and call us in the morning
See the above link and I'm pretty sure there's an electronic manual with the CD that comes with trackir. If not try the help file in the TrackIR software.

Re: This product needs instruction manuals!!!
When the software installs on the system, there is a manual installed as well.
Start Menu -> All Programs -> TrackIR -> user manual
It can also be found on the website, at the link above.

Thanks guys, yeah i feel stupid, pretty much right after i submitted this rant it occurred to me that there must be a pdf manual of some sort. i found it. sorry about that. still though its always funny to look back on something you wrote when you were mad.

Re: This product needs instruction manuals!!!
Ok, now that you have found the manual, could you please tell me what I need to do to get it to work with flight simulator X? All I seem to be able to do with it is watch the tracking screen move around. I wonder if there is something I have to do with the flight sim program to recognize it. When I loaded the software for the Iwear goggles I had a heading in the menu in the flight sim. but I don't see anything with trackir. I have since uninstalled the Iwear goggles for fear of the two programs conflicting but am still unsuccessful. Can you or anyone help?

What version ofg FSX are you running?
Do you have SP2 installed (FSX)?
To get it to work, you generally need to follow the steps below -
1 - Start the TrackIR software
2 - Start the gaming application
3 - Start a flight
4 - Enter the cockpit (VC) view. With FSX it will work in more than the VC, but the VC has full 6DOF support.
