problem: view is slow return to center

If I turn my head to the left or right, the view pans left and right, pretty much along with my head movements. This is as I wish. When I turn back straight ahead, the view rather slowly returns to center, on the order of 3 to 5 seconds.

I am using the default racing profile with iRacing, but the "head" view in the profile editor shows the same thing.

Isn't this thing supposed to exactly follow your head motions? Am I doing something wrong?

What version of Windows are you using?

What version of the TrackIR software do you have installed?

Looking at the Tracking screen, View -> Tracking, what do you see here?

In the racing profile, what do you have the smoothing slider set to?

Thanks for the reply. I think that the problem has gone away. I had shut down the PC earlier and now that I've restarted it and gone in to check this information for you the problem has gone away.

It's funny, usually my first response when I am helping people with computer issues is to tell them to reboot... too bad I didn't follow my own advice.
