Do you have Acceleration/SP2 installed for FSX?

Are you running both the TrackIR software, and FSX, as an admin (Right click on shortcut -> select run as admin)?

What version of the TrackIR software are you running?

Vincent,
I just recieved my Track IR today, hooked it up. Works with FS9 but not FSX. I have Acceleration, Vista 64. I was noticing some issues with simconnect. Is that where the problem is?

After some experimentation, here is what I have found, hopefully somebody can explain this.

I installed FSX, and Accelleration. I installed TrackIR using the CD and the older version of the driver. I then ran FSX, and it worked fine. A few months later I installed build 36 of the driver, everything still worked fine. Then I got Black Shark, and updated the game list so it would work. TrackIR now works fine with Black Shark, but not FSX. I uninstalled, reinstalled TrackIR, did not update the game list, and FSX worked. Updated the game list, and it stopped working in FSX again.

My question is, what changes with FSX when I update the game list?

Go to the Natural Point web site download the latest driver off the site. Uninstall the current ( off the CD version of the driver) and delete the Natural Point folder in /Programs Files(x86), disconnect the TrackIR from the USB connection and reboot the machine.

Install the new driver you just downloaded by double clicking it, it should reinstall back into the /Program Files(x86) folder, then plug in the track IR, Vista should then detect it and load the drivers for the device and you should be all set.

Make sure you are running both applications (TrackIR/gaming application) at the same permission level within Vista 64-bit.
