I posted this in another thread, but didn't get any response.
I did a bunch of experimenting, and here is what happens. I installed off the CD with Build 29 (I think) and all worked well. I later updated to Build 36 from the NP website, and all worked great. Then I got DCS: Black Shark and needed to update the game list. TrackIR works great with BS, but stopped working with FSX. So I uninstalled, re-downloaded Build 36, and tried it: Works great with FSX. Updated game list so it would work with BS, FSX stops working, but BS works.
Why would the game update kill FSX, and what can I do to make it work with BOTH games?
Details:
FSX/Accelleration SP1/2
Vista 32
TrackIR4 build 36
Have uninstalled/reinstalled as per some SIMILAR threads, did not help. Either works with FSX, or BS, not both.
Update game list kills FSX support
Re: Update game list kills FSX support
Are you running both the gaming application, and the TrackIR software as an admin?
Also, if you can email us the SGL.sig and SGL.dat files from the version which works for you, along with the version that doesn't work, that would be helpful.
