Can't look left with TrackIR & TrackClip Pro

Hi,
I am newbie when it comes to the trackir so please bear with me if I'm asking stupid questions. I got the trackir system for 2 games only, FSX and IL-2 and I am having some issues with both. In IL-2 I can pan perfectly right, up and down but not left. When I try to look left the view immediately jumps down and basically shows me my own seat. When I look up and left the view gets locked in that position until I recenter the view. I have tried playing with the light filter (now set to 100) and with the smoothing option (now set to 30). I have changed the camera position and I have checked the tracking window for stray light spots. Does anybody have advice for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Profile loaded...I think...IL-2
IL-2 version: 4.08m

Try creating a new profile, and setting the gaming application to use the new one.
