Flight Simulator X

Post by rblaha »

I'm having a problem with the virtual cockpit of a particular payware aircraft I purchased recently. I don't know if this is TrackIR related or not, just wanted to throw it out there to cover all the possibilities.

Occasionally and several times during a flight, I'll loose all functionality of knobs, pushbuttons, switches, etc in the VC. I can restore the functionality by either switching to a 2D view and back to VC or sometimes just turning my head extreme left/right or up/down while still in the VC.

Could this possibly come from anything TrackIR related? I have many other payware aircraft and don't have this problem with any of them.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Only occurs in this particular aircraft?

Does it occur if you aren't running the TrackIR software?

What version of Windows are you using?

Yes, it only occurs in this particular aircraft for me. It's very random and I haven't noticed anything in particular that triggers the loss of functionality.

I posted on their forum and got one response from another user with a similar experience using TrackIR, but on a different although very similar aircraft by the same developer. I also have that, but haven't had the problem. Don't know if I should or can mention the name here. Support hadn't heard of this to date and suggested I post here as well.

I haven't tested thoroughly, but I've not experienced it if I'm not running TrackIR. I'm using version 4.1.035 if that matters.

I'm still on XP Pro 32bit, SP3.

Thanks

Update - After some testing, I'm thinking this has nothing to do with TrackIR. The VC in this aircraft has gone completely south, so I will continue to troubleshoot with the developer.

Thanks
