TIR does not connect to FS9

Hi,
probably others had theat problem too but I couldn't find a search term to give me an answer.
So if this is an old question I apologise

TrackIR 4 - yesterday it worked - today not
I reinstalled TIR Software - but not FS yet.

Tracking is working due to TIR -> view -> tracking
but it won't connect to FS any longer

WinXP(32) Home SP2
TIR software is recent
FS9.1
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
AMD X2 4600+

I don't really believe it is a specific problem with TIR but more with my system but maybe you have something that gives me a hint what's wrong

btw. Unfortunately I don't own other games that support TrackIR

Disregard all after good morning.
I set the HideInfoText=1 in fs9.cfg because I was making a movie.
Working through the threads I found this caused the problem.

pity because it's great to get rid of all that red text
