TrackIR Problems

Hi, I am having problems with TrackIR. I use the Vector Clip and when I set TrackIR up on my computer I see the green dots, indicating everything is working, then approx. 30 seconds later they go away and I can't use it anymore! Also somtimes it will work but it can all of a sudden change the picture very fast from side to side without me moving my head! It is really weird. Can somone please help.

Looking at the tracking screen, do you see any red?

What type of system are you using?

What version of Windows are you using?

Have you tried the device on another system?

Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?

Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

I do see red on the tracking device.

I have pluged it into a USB hub.

I shall turn off the power saving feature and see if that helps.

Also try to eliminate the red, as you should see only the 3 green objects.
