Trackir not working with FSX

Hi there,
I recently bought TrackIR 4 with TrackClip, with the main intention of using it in FSX.
The first thing I did was check for the latest driver, and downloaded it. I'm running Vista 64bit.
TrackIR works fine in Blackshark, but nothing happens when I launch FSX, which is very bad news really, especially considering I haven't found any help anywhere on the issue
Reinstalling FSX is not an option for me, and reinstalling Vista is definitely not an option.

ASUS P5Q Pro motherboard
E8600 CPU
ATi 4870X2 graphics
4GB OCZ DDR2

Do you have SP1/SP2 installed for FSX?

Have you tried running both applications as an admin. Right click on the exe for both applications, and select run as admin.

I have SP2 installed.

I have UAC turned off (and yes they're set as admin anyway) but that's not really the problem, as TrackIR works fine for Blackshark

It could be the issue, with Vista if the applications are running at differnt permission levels, Vista will prevent them from working together.

Any other add-ons installed for FSX?

I have REX and ASX installed as well as a bunch of airport sceneries and aircraft (too numerous to list) installed.

Any head latency options/settings within these addons?

Even if there were said options, wouldn't the problem be limited to once FSX was already running? The problem I'm having is that TrackIR doesn't even activate when I launch FSX

If another add-on iis also trying to do head tracking, it could be causing Simconnect to not work, of have changed the settings so ytthe TrackIR software is unable to see that FSx has started.

OK I installed the latest driver (TrackIR 5 BETA) and it now works in FSX... BUT, just now, it's started to flash on and off intermitently, after working fine for a couple of days
I'm using the TrackClip Pro and when I go into the TrackIR prgramme, I see that some of the 'dots' seem to diappear for a second or two, sometimes longer, then reappear. Obviously when in FSX, this makes the view go haywire and so is quite a big problem

Do you mean they are no longer being detected, in the camera view, oe they change colors?

Anything more than the 3 green on the screen?

TrackIR 5 mounted on left side of monitor, with the 3 green centered in the camera view?

Try seperating the Clip Pro, and the TrackIR on seperate USB ports.
