strange error - review capture explodes the trackpoints

Post by spencer »

hi all!

i had a strange new error yesterday.
while recording, the figure in arena did finaly move just perfectly,
with nearly no flickering or red limbs.

but when i wanted to review one of the takes, i realized that they are all not play-able.

as soon as i hit the play button, the scene explodes into a cloud of phantom-markerpoints.
(as seen on the attached picture)

Image

the cameras seem to "see" the right dots tho.

did anybody have the same problem,
and managed to rescue the data ?

unfortunately i did not review the takes.
i just recorded one shot after the other.. since it went fine on the screen.

when it came to the first review, i had no chance to start all over again.
so i would be glad if i find some way to make my recordings work.

Hi Spencer...

to avoid that i always export the bvh's by take then close them, i figured that arena will slow down if i get multiple takes on RAM.

im sorry i cannot help:(

Also, make sure that you have the right calibration file loaded for that particular take.

yes, the right calibration was loaded.

but i think i did make something wrong.
while capturing, some cameras seemed to have switched off.
(the numbers on the cams where not visible anymore)

so i restarted arena, and loaded the project again.
the cameras that have been off, where not checkboxed when i loaded the project.
so i did check them.. and i think that was not good.
(i looked good tho, the actor moved right on the screen, and all cams did show their unique id)

i should better have turned everything down, de-power the cams, turn off the computer and all on again.
(but i just restarted arena)

.. the question is, can i somehow fix my files to use the recordings ?
(the camera views look so flawless to me.. i still hope i could use the takes)
