If I read you correctly, it looks like most of the problems are occurring on the same hub?.. the second hub works fine, it seems you have no problems with the cameras on the 2nd one, correct?
Try doing this, switch hubs to see if the problem follows the hub to the other side. Make sure you move the USB cable that connects from that hub to your pc too..
If the problem follows the hub.. then the issue is either the hub or the active USB and/or USB cable that connects from the hub to your pc.
Now, on the pc side, you are using a laptop, correct? Where are you connecting the hubs? are you using USB connections that next to each other? Some laptops will have 3 or 4 connections, 2 on the side and 2 in the back... It is always best to use connections that are separated, plug one in the back, the other on the side (normally, there are 2 USB controllers, so you are separating the data)
I'd also recommend that when you are capturing, have the minimum amount of background software running on your PC, it makes things a lot better. I use msconfig to turn off everything that I don't need for the time I'm capturing (antivirus software, everything)
I've had the system now for almost 2 years and this seems to work best for me
I'm here to help with anything I can Nildo

Re: PLEASE help! my cameras are not synching!! cannot m
Hello Bryan...
Im not sure its a HUB prb...because when this prb started, one of the things i did was switching them...what i didnt do is move the USB cable as u suggested.
I always connected the hubs on adjacent USB ports..(my laptop has 6 ports..4 on the right and 2 on the left, no back ports), i never did connect on separate sides of the laptop...interesting thought:) will surely try that out.
Will also try to disconnect any software as you suggested...one thing i normally do is, AFTER arena and mocap as going ok, i tend to run max as well so i can immediately test the BVH, as i've had issues with exported bvh thinking they were good but they were not. i never had prbs with this.
I also have the system for almost 2 years now (December 2007) and i never had these issues b4...
, which is pretty intriguing.
thx alot for your input Bryan, i'm planning another capture in a few days...will let you know what happens.
One thing id like to ask however...regarding 1.4, (when calibrating) i've noticed that the cameras now have a green highlight to them (ver 1.3 did not) what exactly does that mean?
I figured that maybe its because the 3 or more cameras are seeing the calibration wand? so its a good thing?!

It means that it is seeing a single object, within the camera view for tracking. If there is no object, in the field of view, it use gray, and red if there is 2+ objects
