Hello to all, (sorry for my bad english)
Finally, after 1 year of waiting, reading, hesitating, forgetting and again reading i bought the TrackIr 4 Pro (wich was 40 euro's cheaper than the 5).
I fly the PMDG 747 in FS9. Yesterday i installed the hard / software and yes indeed, it worked. And it still works, allthough i have to close the curtain cause im sitting i a superwhite painted room wich is faced to south - west.
So the first problem i had from the very start is the default view point in the 747 cockpit. Well...i bought the TIR just to get rid of that problem. But the problem has got even worse. Im a human being which means that i cannot sit still like a rock does. Well, i can for 5 minutes but than my body starts itching. As i fly i move and at that point somehow i "lose" my centre view and i have to hit the "reset" button again, which makes my view way to high. Why in heaven earth cant i set my default view in the cockpit? Somewere i've red that i have got to change the .CFG file?? You cant be serious! My Hat switch is not perfect at all but when im i a difficult star approach at 3000 feet with 40 knots right wind en turbulence at least i can land the plane easily cause im able to centre my view on the beginning of the runway, without losing sight of the speed and altimeter. With the TIR i have to make a choiche: runway of instruments....with mostly results in a crach due to stall or no centerline.
And yes..all the frustration is my own fault, i've red reviews on the internet, not this forum. Otherwise i still had 140 euro's in my pocket.
A Positive note: taxiing is brilliant. Its just like a " padlock" view so its truly possible to " ride the yellow line".
(P.s. i have configured profiles, smoothing, curve editing ect so thats not the problem)

Re: Centre view PMDG 747
If you are using FS9, you can also adjust the cockpit seat position with key commands
You can change the eye position using SHIFT ENTER and SHIFT Backspace.
This helps seeing the runway when landing or when flying a taildragger
plane. I also think there are some to adjust the center position up and down as well

Re: Centre view PMDG 747
Yes i know these commands exists. Im using a saitek proflight yoke. Before my TIR i configured my saitek: Hatswitch = Pan view. Buttons A1/A2 eyepoint up / down. Buttons B1/B2 eyepoint Forward / back. In that way i was able to configure my view all the time. But i noticed that while i was flying the approaches i had to much " fuzzeling" with the buttons to get the correct view. That's the reason i bought the TIR. And now i have the TIR and im still " Fuzzeling". So probably i have overestimate the capabilities of the TIR. I mean: its great for taxi en cruise altitude. But not for take-off or landing, wich are the best parts of flying...
I haven't tried it with GTR2. And i hope it will be a better experience to drive a Ferrari than flying a B747-400.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. We try to help a customer enjoy the product as best we can.
I was asking for the definition of fuzzeling.
