For what it's worth, I just installed IL2 1946 with the allaircraftarcade stuff (including 6DOF) and antialiasing seems to be working just fine using the latest TrackIR5 beta software. In fact I went into nHancer after running it the first time and bumped the AA up to supersampling x4.

Running dual 8800GT's in SLI here and the 190.86 beta drivers on WinXP SP3.

I do not believe your trouble is with the TrackIR software, caps or not.

Well the trouble is solved by now and the trick was to install first the driver Nvidia 186.18 and then to reinstall the TrackIR software.
That was it! Otherwise I have the same config as you ( had Nhancer for a while but abandoned it as it is quite a ressource hog ;-)

In conclusion the TrackIR software CAN cause a dysfunction in antialiasing in IL2 1946 probably occurring after updating the Nvidia driver. There is no doubt about it.

I had this problem with IL2.

I'm using windows XP SP3, nvidia grahics WHQL drivers 190.62, Il2 1946, TIR 4 with beta 5.01 software.

I solved the loss of AA problem by simply reinsatlling the nvidia 190.62 drivers.

Initially I installed the TIR 5 software after the drivers and this seemed to start the problem. Reinstalling the drivers on top of the previous installation solved it for me.

Cheers

Hate to drum up my first post and drag out something form the basement, but this issue is still apparent. I have a EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX550Ti, using Windows XP3. I have tried ALL possible drivers for this graphics card, both those at Nvidia's site as well as all the appropriate drivers at the EVGA site.

Absolutely NO AA using OpenGL in Il-2 1946 v.4.10.1, and 4.11 with hotfix with TrackIR 5~ installed. Oh I picked up a Track IR 5 Pro bundle, and I like it.

I rippped out Track IR using a free software remover and ripped out the Display drivers using the free software remover program. I reinstalled version 275.33 Display drivers(Just a random pick, I did mention I have ALL the drivers for my card). I then fired up the game using Nvida Inspector to setup IL-2. Bam AA using OpenGL in IL-2! I reinstall TrackIR, use the 1 fix in TrackIR "Settings.xml" and I haven't had an issue for 3 days, for me that is Awesome.

This approach seem to work for a few but is very inconvenient to ask a less computer savoy person to be ripping out drivers reinstalling stuff editing xml files without really understanding what they're doing. Is Track IR software and IL2-1946, I don't know using OpenGl at the same time or something.

A Little Update the 1 fix didn't fix it. Had to uninstall Track IR, test IL-2 1946 to ensure AA in Open GL was working....it was. Re installed latest Track IR 5 software and all works fine. Uninstalling then Installing Track IR after upgrading video drivers sorts the AA issue out, but only temporary. Will keep exploring this any info would be appreciated.

You should have various versions of the nVidia OpenGL driver in your side by side directory. You can attempt finding different versions and copying them directly to the trackir directory (this fix works with the ATI OGL driver).

The nvidia OGL driver is nvoglnt.dll

Update

The issue did not go away. I resolved the issue with an update form Windows XP SP3 to Windows 7 64bit. Everything is working fine. Made me think that the latest video drivers are not supporting Openg GL like they use to, well at least support going back to OpenGL version 1.3 for example.

For those wondering IL2 1946 runs flawlessly on Win7 64bit.

Hi to all.
First post and with problems.
Seems that I experience the same OpenGL issue.
System - Win 7 64bit, 680gtx + Matrox Tripplehead 2GO Digital, Athlon 965 quad, 8gb ram, Track IR 4
Drivers - Nvidia 306.23 WHQL. Software tried TrackIR 5 from beta to latest official, also final Track Ir 4 soft.
When I run IL2 1946 + HSFX mod or UP 3.0 mod after less than minute of flight game freezes I am ejected into Windows, there I receive message in Track IR window that there was OpenGL problem then Track Ir freezes. I can switch back to IL2 game but track IR does not work anymore until restart of Track Ir and IL2 to have again less then minute of flight experience. No matter what I do problem still exists: 1 does not work, reinstalling Nvidia or Track Ir drivers (in many combinations) also does not help.
Any ideas how to force TrackIR to work without OpenGL issue ?
