Track IR switches zoom unexpectedley

I use my Track IR3 to fly IL2 aviation combat sim.

I have 6DOF enabled and it responds on all axes as expected.
I can twist and turn my head and when not in the gunsight mode have the ability for all 6 directions.

The problem that I cant seem to fix is that normally I fly in the games full zoom out mode. As soon as I turn to the side or try to look behind me the zoom snaps to a close up view. Sometimes I can prevent this from happening by constantly hammering on the zoom out game input.. but this is getting old and I was hoping for a permanent fix.

I found the answer.... IL2 has a control panel that allows one to disable auto-zooming. I never knew it existed.
