trackir lags after playing a while

Hello all,

I finally bought trackir (for Arma2 and Black Shark) but I noticed a couple times that my TrackIR was experiencing lag in the movement after playing for a while. I noticed that after returning back to the desktop and opening the TrackIR software I had the same lag in the example xyz view. After restarting the TrackIR software everything goes well again. I didn't play Black Shark that much so I only had this problem when playing Arma2.

It could be caused by something while playing Arma2, however the problem isn't solved when shutting down Arma2, it remains until a restart of the TrackIR software.

Anybody got a clue what could be going on?

I have a TrackClip Pro. I will see if the problem persists when using the hatclip.

Connected direct;ly to the PC, or using a hub?

What version of Windows are you using?

What version of the TrackIR software?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

I am having the exact same problem. I am running Vista Ultimate. None of my USB root hubs are checked to save power. I don't think it has anything to do with running a game since I am playing Rise of Flight when I notice the lag after 15 minutes or so. I close the game and the lag is still present in the TrackIR software. I am running version 5.0.300 (Build 6225) which I think is the latest. If I close TrackIR and restart it he lag goes away for a while. Sounds like a memory leak or something but I don't notice an increase in memory usage for the process in Task Manager.

Did you try toggling F7?
