Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
What version of the drivers are you using?
Please try downloading, and installing, the latest from our website.

Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
Hello,
Same problem here I'm afraid. It installs correctly, it works fine, but when I shut down the computer, it fails to be found the next day!or even later the same day.
'Device not found' is driving me bonkers! I have to redo all of my settings and preferences only to lose the lot when the rascally rogue fails to be found:)
I am running NOD32 AV and a Comodo firewall behind a Netgear WNR834B router (hardwired) yes I am paranoid!
On XP SP3 and all updates installed. 3 gig of RAM with a 4400 dual core AMD.
All I can say is....help!

Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
You should have to adjust settings, as those are saved seperate of the hardware detection.
What version of the TrackIR software are you using?
Do you have the latest motherboard bios, chipset drivers installed?
Camera connected directly to the PC, or using a hub?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
4.1.028 updated to 4.1.037.
It is connected directly to a USB port, not to a hub.
the computer is all updated as far as it can be.

Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
Looking in the system device manager, where is the device located? NaturalPoint Devices, or USB?
Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
Hello Vincent,
Thanks for your help!
It is listed in Naturalpoint.
I have completely uninstalled all naturalpoint and TrackIr files and carried out a registery clean. This is the 3rd Clean install but comes complete with added new problems unfortunately!
My optical mouse slows down to a ridiculous speed while TrackIr is running, Mouse behaves the same while trying to set curves ect. All AV and firewall is Off. I'm beginning to think the unit is defective, a shame really as it was a gift from a friend in the USA. He bought three units over the the UK. The other units worked first time out of the box for their owners.

Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
I have tried two more installs since the last post. My HD is split into C (operating system only) D (games and other programs) and E (photo archive), I have installed it in both C and D and the actual software slows down the computer.
I cannot understand this unless there is a very large conflict involved,so far I have been unable to find a conflict. This seems extremely likely though because the way the computer reacts. When I remove all of the TrackIr software, the computer behaves normally.
I think this is where the original problem of 'Device not found'and its attendant problems lay.
Your thoughts are most welcome!

Re: TrackIR 4 PRO no device detected
Ok,
i have found the problem. I deleted all USB related items under device manager. It seems that they were all operating on 1.1 when they should have been 2.0. By deleting them and restarting the computer the ports have updated themselves to 2.0. Henceforth no more problems.
A case of self help eh?
Thanks for your time vincent.
