OK, a couple of things to look at.
In the Spot Plane view, you can move the camera around, using the mouse and it looks very similiar to the TrackIR movement.
Also, in the VC mode, you can move the point of view from sitting in the cockpit to outside the plane by using the number keys, on the keyboard, and still be able to move your head around with the TrackIR.

Re: Using Active Camera? Read Here.
I agree, you can do this method with Walk & Follow, but as I have found out, using the arrow keys or number keys to move outside the cockpit to external view distorts certain aircraft or even makes the external view of the aircraft transparent. You can still see the inside of the cockpit and cabin. It only seems to work properly while inside the aircraft, whether panning the VC or "walking" through a cabin using Walk & Follow.
Re: Using Active Camera? Read Here.
Hello,
I've recieved my trackIR today and i've just test it.
I want to use Active camera with internal pilot view just for using the scroll of the mouse to zoom more than TrackIR let me do.
(In fact when i approach my head in front of the screen there is a limit of the zoom, and it's not very usefull to set the FMC for example).
So the only way to use the scrolling zoom is to activate the Internal pilot view.
Even if I toggle off the head's and the weels latency, if got a big shaking screen.
Any ideas ?
Other suggestion, i heard about a feature in an older version of TrakIR that paused the tracking when the mouse was used. I think that is a usefull fonction, specially when we use a scroll button like the altitude of the AP.
There is a way to use the mouse to pause the tracking anymore or just the F9 key works ?
Thank you for the answers (and sorry for my english... I'm french :p)

Re: Using Active Camera? Read Here.
You can set any keystrock, or button to pause the TrackIR software.
Re: Using Active Camera? Read Here.
Ok, but with that, the wheel's mouse is not active anymore

Re: Using Active Camera? Read Here.
Thank you, i can use my mouse button to pause and replace the tracking. Very usefull in fact.
And for Active camera, i just have to assign and key to toggle on the virtual cockpit support then zoom as i want then toggle it off.
When i roll my head with active camera, it's a mess
There, a little movie of my test:

Vincent,
So can you comment on how it just 'started working' then (it's good background information to have)? Is it that with multiple versions of FS installed that TrackIR looks to the FS2k2 folder?
One final note; while the tracking is working in FS2k4 I don't get the additional DOF other than left-right, up-down. The full range of motion works in the TrackIR software but not FS (the Title shows as FS2k2 even though I am running FS2k4). Do you know how I can enable the remaining DOF in FS? Thanks in advance.
