I had some problems with the installation of the new TIR 4 SW (Version 4.1.037 - Final B) on my Computer.
Problem: After downloading the new version, I click setup and the installer say, that an old version of software are installed (4.1.036). I click remove --> backup existing profiles (yes) --> remove old INF file (yes) --> finish
I start the setup second time: Picture with the TIR and a setup window appears (TIR 4 prepared InstallShield wizzard...). He loads 3 bars in this window. After 1 min. appears a window with this message:
[color:#FF0000]Error by extraction of the support files. Restart the server failed[/color]
I don't know what happens. No logfile available. I tried with the old version and the version 5 Final B and everytime the same error.
OS: Win Vista 64bit SP2

Hello,
After a few days without sleep, no support from Naturalpoint side and a lot of coffee, I found the solution!
Maybe the new installer of the TIR4 Version 4.1.037 - Final B and Version 5 - Final B has a problem with SP2 from M$.
Workaround:
- reinstall SP2 --> download 4.1.0.30(zip) and install (will run!) --> install 4.1.037 - Final B will remove the old driver
--> Backup existing profiles (yes)
--> remove old INF file (no)
Setup 2nd time after remove will install the driver normal
Install SP2 from M$
all runs succesfull
