TrackIR4 Pro /v5 software, doesn't work with Condor?

I'd appreciate some help. I bought TrackIR4 Pro, it came with the version 5 software, and I want to use it with the Condor soaring flight simulator program.

The TrackIR software works standalone on my computer (PC, Windows XP Service Pck 3, Build 2600). I launch TrackIR, then Condor. Once I try to launch a flight simulation, Condor goes through its usual routing of loading landscapes, meteorology, ..., and at the end displays the message 'Almost Done'. At that point, my computer freezes and totally locks up. Control/Alt/Delete won't bring up the task manager, the computer is totally locked up. Only recourse at that point is to manually shut down the computer by holding down the power key for a few seconds.

Condor runs great without TrackIR.

Am I doing something incorrectly?

I'd sure appreciate some help.

Do you see this issue with the 4.1.037 software?

Are you runing any other applications in the background?

I don't have the 4.1.037 software, I just loaded up the latest from the site referenced in the box TrackIR came in.

Should I delete the version 5, and try the version 4 software?

I downgraded to the version 4 software, and it now works. Thanks.
