Setting for Upside down running TIR5

Post by Fish »

Where is the option to turn the unit 'upsidedown' (180deg in V4)?

Cheers

I need this info too. I can't seem to find the setting to let the software know that I'm using the camera upside down. I'm using the latest TIR 5 software with a TIR 4 Pro and clip. This is the first time in many months that I've used track ir and it's not tracking right.

Thanks!

That would make sense all right. If software is not set for upside down.Hmm. I wonder is there a setting in a config file somewhere, cause I definitely cant see anything on the UI of V5.

For the moment I'm back to V4 of the software, with me new TIR5. Its working fine with all my old profiles, and games. No advantage at the moment for moving to V5. Looks very cool, but if it can't do basic things like recognise your games, or allow you to mount the camera a different angles, then its not as good as V4.

my 0.02c.

Update:
Check out the following file

C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Settings.xml.
Line 30, 0

Maybe if this is changed to 180 it will do the trick.

The camera rotation option has not been enabled within the TrackIR 5 software. It was something that we had hoped would be included with the final release of the 5.0 software, but it was pushed back top the 5.1 release.

If you are just mounting it at 180 degrees, from normal, you can manually invert theaxis to move correctly

Thanks Vincent. I'll try that inverting of the axes. I did manage to find a good spot right side up, but I'll toy with it anyways.
