Screen shots of the TrackIR software.
Do you see this issue, if you use the 4.1.037 software?
Track IR 5 Microstuttering
Re: Track IR 5 Microstuttering
Here are two screenshots of the software:

I also saw the issue using TIR 4 software but I didn't uninstall TiR5 and it's drivers maybe I'll try that now.
Yea same problem in Tir4 software.
It's harder to notice because it moves a lot faster there.

Re: Track IR 5 Microstuttering
How far away from the camera are you sitting?
Re: Track IR 5 Microstuttering
Usually 1.5 meter.
But also tried near distance like 50cm.

Re: Track IR 5 Microstuttering
You see the same issues sitting a little closer (1 meter?)
Re: Track IR 5 Microstuttering
I solved it.
Not really but now I know what's causing it.
It's not the Track IR.
It's caused by FPS changes.
Even I turned vsync on, my Fps changes a few times for a millisecond from the set limit of 60 to 61.
Does somebody of you know why vsync is going over 60 fps ? That's my monitor frequency of 60Hz so normally it shouldn't.
I tested it. This happens when there are big FPS changes.
I could see the changes when Vsync turned off.
In DCS for example when looking forward got around 120fps when looking to the site it suddenly jumps to 190 and looking backwards back to 120fps.
Now I need to solve this framedrops when having vsync enabled...
Edit:
I browsed through a lot of forums and found very much
threads about this tearing/stuttering problem.
There was an endless thread about stuttering with TracIR in FSX because of tearing and even with vsync.
I think it's a synchronisation issue between software,
graphics card and monitor which is not easy to solve.
And usual hard to see with mouse movements because
only TrackIR has that fluent moves.
Will test some things out...
Edit 2:
Now I turned off Vertical Sync in the drivers for this game.
It runs wunderful smooth now, no stutters anymore only tearing hurts a little bit on this big monitor. It's like this but worse: http://nivel22.com/files/2009/08/VSync.jpg
But it's fun to play now and slowly my eyes adapt to the tearing and it's not bad anymore
Thx for help though

Re: Track IR 5 Microstuttering
FSX is a weird bird, there are settings no one tells you, but must be set! Make sure to go to settings, customize, and set target frame rate from default 30fps to 60fps. Will make a big difference! Don't go over. If you have a lesser video card, 9800gt or under, use 50fps. Shouldn't tear anymore. Edit: and leave vsync disabled.
Re: Track IR 5 Microstuttering
I have the same problem since I upgraded to W764. These microstutters are anoying. It was silky smooth in vista 32. I don't know whats causing those stutters but I think it has something to do with vsync. The seem to go away when off but the another anoying thing kicks in, the screen tearing.

Any add-ons installed for FSX?
Any other applications running in the background?
