Synchronizing external dig video cam with Optitrack

Post by rrc »

Hi admin/everyone

May I enquire whether are we able/ or have this option to sync external video camera with Optitrack system so that we can acquire video frames along with the mocap data?

Thx in advance

SMPTE In coming soon

Timecode sync allows users to stamp individual frames with a master time reference for detailed digital content management. SMPTE is useful for organizing long capture sessions with multiple takes and simplifies integration in post with audio and video recorded on other systems.

hi Vincent

Thank you very much for your reply and update.

Appreciate if you can fill me in on the following as well:

1) We will be acquiring the Optihub but would like to know when will the SMPTE In be ready?
2) And also could you enlighten me if we want to sync min. 3 digital cameras to the OptiTrack system to record a series of human postures, what are the required hardwares and software? Possible to provide a schematic similiar to this: http://media.naturalpoint.com/optitrack/OptiHub_R2.pdf

Thx.

1 - I am currently not aware of a release date for this feature.

2 - For full body capture, you are looking at minimum the 6 camera Arena package.

Hi Vincent

Via Arena, we are able to assign camera as Scene AV cameras. My query will be since the recording will be in the GRS format, is there any way we can export it out as avi or any compatible video clip format?

Thx in advance.
