SmartNav 3 and Trackir compatiblity

I was wondering if the smartnav was compatitble with the Trackir software? It looks the same as the Trackir 3 Pro, but it might be different. I have had one offered to me for a fair price in my opinion, but I would like it to use like the Trackir, I am not really interested in the Smartnav features. Is this possible? And if it is could you use the Vector expansion with it?

Yes. You can download and use the TrackIR software on the SmartNAV.

It will be only in 2DOF though unless you purchase the vector expansion for your SmartNAV.
