Power Issue

Dear Support Team,

I am an extremely satisfied customer of yours and have used my TrackIR almost daily with not a single problem in the half a year I have owned it.

I just have a question regarding the TrackIR still being fed trickle power after my computer has been shut down. If I turn off my computer, both the TrackIR Camera Unit on my screen & the Trackclip Pro emit a dim light which can only be noticed at night until I turn my computer's power supply off or unplug the cable at the wall.

I have been disconnecting my entire computer from the wall to totally shut down the TrackIR to prevent wear down. However this quickly becomes tedious and I was wondering if:
a) This "trickle power" is supposed to be occurring?
b) If so, will leaving the power on have a negative effect on the TrackIR?

It is something that I see occuring with USB.

Should be no issue with the leds being on, as they have a half-life of about 11 years.
