Question on camera calibration

Post by shengchao »

Hi

I'm having a 3 camera optitrack system. I followed the tutorial video on camera calibration. And I managed to get the green box on all of the video panel when i click the "Start wanding" button, but although the boxes are highlighted green, there are no green lines/track when i'm wanding around. Why is that so?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you

What version of the OPtiTrack software are you using?

Have you then selected the start capture/start wanding button?

I think the problem was the location between the wand and the camera. The problem was solved when i move the wand around 2 meters away from all the 3 cameras.

Is there anyway to reduce this distance by changing the camera configurations? because i would prefer a working place that is as small as possible.

I'm using version 2.1.0 of the OPtiTrack software.

Can you possibly send us a screenshot or two? That might be the easiest way to determine what is going on.

try selecting a "small" capture volume size?

Calibration panel -> Approximate Volume -> 1 cubic meter

Also try decreasing the exposure setting to somewhere within the range of 4 to 13. Smaller values will reduce the IR brightness which might be too bright at closer ranges.
