Hello
I use Optitrack V120 camera and have some difficulties with daylight artefacts in view area I can't get rid of. My question is if I could use some optical infrared narrow band pass filter for 850nm (+/-20nm) and active infrared leds (also 850nm) as tracking markers? Would it help? Reading previous posts on this forum I've found that 850nm is best wavelength for IR leds, but does it also conform to Optitrack V120 device?
Are there any other solutions of avoiding daylight problem?
Thanks
suhl
Additional filtering with narrow band pass filter
Re: Additional filtering with narrow band pass filter
Are you using a prebuilt unit, as it may already have an IR filter installed?
Generally using the device in direct sunlight is difficult (bad), as it is generating an IR source that also includes the bandwidth that the cameras, and IR LEDs are also using/looking for.
