TrackIR 5 software problems

I had no problems using TrackIR with the 5b beta drivers, but since installing the final driver I find that on quite a few occasions, when using it with FSX the TIR starts and responds to keyboard and proclip inputs, but does not respond to movements in the game. The TIR never stops working once running in the game the only problem is the non cenetring that other people have mentioned.

Secondly, when closing down the application I get a box "closing camera" but this box freezes and the shutdown goes no further, the only answer being to reboot the computer. This happens every time I use TIR. I have tried to close the app using Task Manager but TIR does not appear on the screen, yet if I try to restart the app I get a message that TIR is already running.

My OS is Win 7 64 bit with an nVidia GTX 285 graphic card, CPU is i7 920 OC to 4ghz and I have the Saitek X52. I run FSX plus Acceleration.

When trying to close in the Task manager, are you looking on the processes tab, for the application?

Have you tried right clicking on the exe for the TrackIR, and FSX, and selecting run as admin?

Are you connecting the TrackIR directly to the PC, or are you using a hub?

Hi Vincent,

I rin FSX and TIR as Administrator, and I have UAC turned off.

In the task manager I am looking at applications and processes. When TIR is running normally it appears in both, but not when I try to shut down.

I have TIR on drive "C" and run it from the task bar.
