Foot sliding with the 3DSMax streaming software

Post by The_Nomad »

Hiya!

I'm just testing the MAX streaming software again - getting good results, but I'm having a significant problem with foot-sliding. It looks like the root node is over-translating.

I'd guess I'm meant to fix this with the Translation % boxes, but no number I type in there seems to have any effect at present, at least on live streaming. The same is true of Offset.

I'm using Max 2010, streaming from another PC which is running Arena 1.5 Final. I've got Right Hand Coord, Rigid Body Data, and Skeleton As Rigid Bodies checked on the streaming dialog on Arena.

I'm probably doing something really obviously wrong. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Nomad,
I don't have Max 2010 installed but tested Translation and Offset in 2009 and it is working. Are you using the correct plugin?

Also you can adjust the root translation with Scale value in Stream tab of Arena.

I'll have another look at it - if all else fails I'll use the root translation in the Stream tab. Thanks!
