Problem with my Trackir 5

Hi,

i'm new here and have one question. i bought here in germany a trackir 5 bundle with trackclip pro. i installed the software and connected the device properly to my pc. all is doing well, but i noticed, that only the left led is green glowing, the right led ist always off. is this normal or have i bought a defect item?

oh, a second question. i installed the newest trackir software, i think it was trackir 5.0 final b. i'm using windows xp and everytime i start the software, i get an error message and drop back on desktop. if i set the compatibility mode of win xp to NT, it works.

The right side led is designed not to come on, until a gaming application is detected.


What SP do you have installed on the system?

Are you logged in as an admin?

Any other applications running in the background?

i have win xp sp3, systemdrivers are up to date.

there are only one account on my system, so i think i have automatically admin rights.

other application in background is only kaspersky, but i have it already disabled, same problem.

anyway, it works in compatibility mode of nt.
