I'd like to see more videos of TrackIR's new implemntation in World War II Online. There's so many different types of vehicles in there, including infantry. It'd be nice to see what it looks like using TrackIR.

Re: NaturalPoint TrackIR videos!
I just had a look at the video's as well and they are really good. I still cannot see how Wayne can handle the helo in FS2004 so well.... of course he has lots of RL experiance!
As for the method used, what brand and model of camera do you have? I have a 9800 Pro AIW and it has all the fancy S-Vid and Composit Video out as well. Unfortunantly, the quality is really bad to a VCR, especially using composit video.
The best way to do it is to get a S-Vid to S-Vid DVR. However, I havent found a good DVR yet that is under $1000 to do this with.

Re: NaturalPoint TrackIR videos!
Thanks Charlie,
I have been working on some more videos this weekend. It's Warrens camera, not sure about the name, I will find out for you.
I have the Comanche working great, what a difference TrackIR makes, (and I'm not just saying that because I work here).
The video looks good too.
I have just finished the video for Warbirds 2004, I thought that I was an accomplished pilot, but these guys on line must live, sleep, and breath Warbirds.
I will be editing out the bit where I got shot down of course.

Re: NaturalPoint TrackIR videos!
heyloooo Charlie,
i plug svideo out and 1channel audio directly into my sony DCtrv08 (old single chip) camera. I record second camera footage (see upcoming vids...) on my Panasonic AG-DVX100p (3 chip).

in related news,
I put up the first of 5 new videos! Find it here:
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/games/lockon.html
this Lomac vid has a second camera to show that you don't need to move your head much to move the view a lot.
Also, I'll mail a free sheet of dots to the first person to name the plane we used in this Lomac video....
IL2:FBaep, enemy engaged, medal of honor, and F1challenge videos are coming quite soon.

Re: NaturalPoint TrackIR videos!
I just checked out the new Lock-On vid you guys made. Good stuff there. My TrackIR arrives today, so I'm looking forward to checking it out myself!
Looking forward to seeing some of the WWIIOL vids you guys are working on. It'd be nice to have some vids showing equipment other then planes.

Re: NaturalPoint TrackIR videos!
cool! hope you enjoy your TrackIR, Pruitt!
i just put up a video IL2:Forgotten Battles Ace Expansion, again with the commentary and 2nd camera.
I'll be gone for the weekend. but should have more videos up by wednesday. We've been recording LOTS of footage in WWIIOnline, but there are just soooo many vehicles. I'll probably have to scale back my plans and just start doing one video per vehicle. I was just saving the best for last. ... hmm. so, more on this next week...
p.s. i think i'll throw around some more free dots in our IL2 game forum. check it out... dots dots dots. yum.
