Track IR failing after at most 5 minutes of use

Post by FlandersRevenge »

Starting yesterday Track IR 5 started crashing.

I was playing DCS A-10 32x, then all of a sudden my POV froze. Stopped game, checked Track IR software and the software had frozen. Control manager didn't say "program not responding"

The software did not accept any input, closed down. This has been happening in both A-10, F4AF, as well as JUST the track IR program itself.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled program. I'm running win7 x64, I have had it since June and never had a single problem with it

Had you made any changes to the system recently?

Are you connected directly to the PC, or using a hub?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

I just tried that, I never realized that the computer could do that.

I had reinstalled Win 7 recently, after another round of installing/reinstalling Track Ir i got it to work but now with ROF it seems to be being difficult.

I just tried what u suggested, hopefully it will work
