Key Activated with CapsLock

Post by headsup »

Hello,

I'm trying to get the "Key Activated with CapsLock" working as described here in the manual:

If you assign the Move action to your CapsLock key then you can simply press this key to
engage your mouse control and let up over the item you want to select, then press down again to double
click (or drag).

So I'm having no problem making the CapsLock key be the Move hotkey. However I can't get the double-click (or drag) to work. Are there other settings I need to tweak so those work? How would you drag as opposed to double-click?

Thanks!
Jerome

I belive they are refering to setting it as the left mouse hot key.

Oh of course! Boy do I feel dumb. Thanks Vincent for stating the obvious. Apparently sometimes I need that.

The settings required are:

Key Activated = on
Start At Center = off
Click on Release = on
Double Click Assist = off

Then with the above settings you can do the following (from the manual):

If you assign the Move action to your CapsLock key then you can simply press this key to engage your mouse control and let up over the item you want to select, then press down again to double click (or drag).

The setting of the Left Click Sticky determines whether it double-clicks or drags with the above settings.

Left Click Sticky = off for double-click
Left Click Sticky = on for drag

Note that it doesn't have to be the CapsLock key. The above holds for whatever key you assign to the Move action (on the Behavior tab).
