No Device Detected

Post by DPGuitarman »

Hi, I just received my TrackIR 5 and Pro Clip today. I installed the TrackIR 5 software and then plugged everything in. My computer popped up with the device detected bubble and displayed TrackIR 5 indicating that it was connected correctly. I then opened the TrackIR 5 software only to show:

"Device: No Device Detected."

IDoes this mean it's not detecting the IR sensor or trackclip?
Needless to say, it isn't tracking any head movement. Also, I have it set to the right clip selection.

Anyone! Help me please! I've been waiting so long to bask in the glory of TrackIR, and right when I get it, I hit another road block. -_-

Is the device plugged diectly into the PC, or are you going thru a hub?

Have you tried separating the TrackIR 5, and the TrackClip Pro on different USB ports?

What version of Windows are you using?

Is the device detected ok, in the system device manager?

My TrackClip Pro was broken on arrival and i have to send it back so I'm using the HatClip. So my TrackIR 5 sensor is plugged directly into the PC.

I'm running Windows XP.

In the Device Manager I see one called "NaturalPoint Devices" and then a subcategory named "USB Device" and a yellow circle with an "!" in it. It looks like there's no drivers installed. I tried reinstalling the TrackIR 5 software and it yields the same results.

OK, right click on the USB device, under natuealpoint, in the device manager, and select update drivers, then manually point to the TrackIR 5/drivers folder.
