Red heat signatures causing interference on camera

Post by burner188 »

I experience this from time to time and was wondering how others are dealing with this interference. I'm assuming this is some background heat signature that the camera is picking up. I'll shut down the camera and re-start. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm sure there are threads on the subject, I just don't have the time or feel like looking over the 200+ results of my search. Love my Trackir! Just love it more when it works smoothly. Thanks in advance for any ideas or links to threads on the subject.

There is an option - something like filter-light-treshold where you can decrease sensitivity of camera..I had the same problem because of night lamp in my room, that emits heat and confuses the camera.

Which version of the IR software are you using?

Generally you want to try and eliminate as much background IR as possible within the camera view (sunlight, incandescent bulbs, etc.)
