Win7 and XP driver load failure.

Hi,
First time installation here. Can't get the drivers to install, no green lights, just a DEVICE NOT FOUND report from the version 5 software... which crashed the first 4 or 5 times I ran it.

Did a system restore and tried again, restored and loaded latest version 4, no joy. Tried it with and without the TrackClip Pro. Direct USB into the motherboard, no hub.

Looked at the Device Manager and it reports the device as "Unknown Device".

Machine: i7 quad core 960 3.2GHz, 12GB RAM, Asus GeForce GTX480 running Win 7 Ultimate.

Interestingly, I also installed it in a second machine, WinXP, same exact failure, same driver problem.

So... maybe the unit is FUBAR? Disappointing... my Win7 machine is a very clean machine ... not a lot onboard at all.

I was able to get it functioning by manually copying the npusbio_x64.sys file from C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Drivers to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and overwriting the existing copy, as per Post 35927, "TrackIR5 beta software not detecting TIR4Pro."

Time to go exploring.
