Track IR4 with Trackclip Pro

Post by jja66uk »

Hello

I've just reformatted a PC (P4 3GHz) with XP(32) SP3 and have attempted to install my Track IR4 with Trackclip Pro. There doesn't appear to be any power to the Track IR hardware and the software cannot find the hardware. The hardware doesn't appear in the Decvice Manager either. I'd plugged in the hardware prior to installing the software and have unplugged and uninstalled/reinstalled etc. but to no avail. Other than reformatting the PC again I'm at a bit of a loss. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hello Vincent

I haven't received your email yet, would you mind resending it just in case?

Thanks

Are you connected directly to the PC, or are you using a hub?

Have you tried moving USB ports?

Do you have access to another PC, to try the device on?

Which version of the TrackIR software are you using?

Hello

I still haven't received your email. In answer to your questions:

Directly to the PC

I've tried different USB ports

It doesn't work on this PC or the one it was originally set up on (and it worked on). I tried plugging it back into that one when I couldn't get it to work on the new one.

I've tried versions:4.1.035 and 037 and 5.0.Final.b.

I'm beginning to suspect the hardware has failed.

Is there any way of testing it?

Thanks

Currently the only way to test it, is to try it on several systems, to see if it is detecting. Unfortunately it sounds like the camera itself has had some type of hardware failure.
