"Add New Hardware Wizard" message when I start Windows

Post by BD75 »

Hi,

I have this problem with my Trackir 5 : a "Add New Hardware Wizard" message appears each time windows starts, while I have already install the driver (I tested every one). If I follow the instructions, the proceeding fails but my Trackir works.
If I don't follow them, it doesn't work.

Does anybody know this problem?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Are you connecting the TrackIR directly to the PC, or are you using a hub?

Do you have the TrackIR plugged into the TrackClip Pro?

Do you have the latest motherboard bios installed for the system?

What version of Windows are you running?

Hi Vincent,

I connect the TrackIR directly to the PC. I have the same result if I connect it to the motherboard USB connections or to USB PCI card I have installed.

I don't have a TrackClip Pro, I use the TrackHat.

Concerning my motherboard (Asus A8NE), I don't know if her bios is the latest one. Where can I find that?

I have Windows XP

Thanks for your help.

Do you have service pack 3 installed for XP?

Have you tried reinstalling USB, in general on the system?

You can try, uninstalling the listings for USB devices, in the system device manager, and then rebooting the system, to have USB reinstalled on the PC.
