I used the 5.1 version of track ir5 software and when I look up to the check updates it said the 5.0 is the latest verion so I downloaded the software but when I ran it, it cant detect the device and I reinstall the 5.1 version but also didnt detect the device either. what the hell happen?!

I am having the same problem. Downloaded the lateset version 5 and now, nothing. I have gone back to version 4 but it is an OLD version that doesnt recognize half the games I have. I dont know how that happened.

If you check the Device Manager with 5.1 installed, does your device come up as an unknown device or does it show up as a TrackIR in either NaturalPoint Devices or USB Devices?
Also, in reference to version numbers:
Check updates will currently show 5.0.300 as the latest version (5.0 Final B) because version 5.1.200 (5.1 Beta 03) is a beta version, and not a final release yet, even though it is a higher version number.

yea, it comes as Natural Point TrackIR5 in device and printers.. Everytime I Open the software 5.0 vers it says above ' Device: No Device Detected" even my usb track Ir is plug in I tried also to reinstall the 5.1 which everything is working fine but doesnt help.. What should I do now?

Lets try something to see if this is a permissions issue.
1. Uninstall any TrackIR software and unplug your TrackIR device.
2. Manually remove any TrackIR directories on your computer (c:\program files\naturalpoint\) or on 64 bit machines (c:\program files (x86)\naturalpoint\)
3. Restart your computer
4. Download and save the TrackIR 5.1 software
5. Navigate to the location you saved the software, right click on the installation package, and select "Run as administrator"
6. Complete the installation as normal
7. Plug in your TrackIR device, then start the software and check to see if it is working appropriately.
