Trying to run Track IR 5 on Track IR 4 Software?

Hi, I am having some trouble with track IR 5 after buying a new graphics card.Its an ATI card with Catalyst Control Center installed.

I also use windows xp and am pretty sure my problem is to do with this post:

I have tried installing the old track IR 4 software but I cant seem to set it up.For example if I open the head tracking part and centre the trackir and then try and turn left and right the head goes all over the place?

Is there any way I can still use the Track IR 5 software with my setup as it was working fine on Xp before I bought the ATI 5770 gpu.

Just thought Id reply as someone in the thread I linked above has found a solution which is to run it in compatability mode with Windows 2000.
