a friend of mine uses an older version of trackIr (3 i think..) but he was telling me that he has his motion tracked like this. His X axis movement he has set to control his yaw.
I've been trying to figure out how to do this with TIR 5 but i'm not having any luck. Is it posssible to do this and tips on how please? All I've been able to find so far is yaw controlling the degree rotation and the X controlling the left/ right head movement. Not been able to find a way to reverse this.
What I want is to be able to to move my head left or right with out rotating it to control the on screen rotation. Turn the screen without turning my head at all.
thanks,
changing axis

Re: changing axis
You can't directly swap x for yaw, but you can cover 2 dots on your trackclip and use TrackIR 4.x software in "dot" tracking mode instead of "vector" or "TrackClip Pro". That will put you in 2dof mode which will treat x as yaw as well as treat y as pitch. Z and roll will not exist.
