Ahoy there,
I'm no longer working at NaturalPoint HQ, but am still in love with the device and it's spread through the gaming world.

I spoke too soon in my earlier post, because I was assured by a coworker that we were locked for the game. But game dev is very difficult process, and supporting the coolest new input devices isn't a top priority in the current gaming industry. Don't lose hope, because TrackIR Support is usually something that can be added as a patch down the road.

If you'd like TrackIR support in this, or any other, game the best thing to do is let NaturalPoint know (*done), and let the game developer know.

Its not worth it. I have read reviews now and they have done away with the fighter cockpits to start with. The fighting is not very interesting anyway with stupid AI. You better wait for Freespace 3 and try to get TrackIR supported there.

X3 in a whole doesnt seem to be that much better then X2 which surely had some really huge flaws...

Think its Freespace 3 or something that is going to revitalize the space sim genre...

A demo for which?

Is Freespace 3 even expected? i thought the freespace name was tied up in ownership issues. Have you checked out Derek Smart's Battlecruiser Online?

Have yall heard of Planetfall, by Unistellar?

Has anyone played Starwolves (is this french site the most current iteration)?
