Not sure if you guys are aware of this but Battlefield 3 allows you to use freelook (with a mouse) and still control the Rudders in a jet.
So if anyone can work out if there's a reason why the rudders still work, but the other controls do not they might be on the way to getting a mouse emulation workaround for trackIR.
I've noticed that the rudder axis binds differently in bf3 than the other axes when using a joystick.... perhaps that is related.
Clue to a BF3 workaround?

Re: Clue to a BF3 workaround?
I guess that's just based on the way the control system for the air vehicles was implemented in the first place.
Default settings are to control the Pitch/Roll AND the free look with mouse. So, if in free look there's absolutely no point to have some steering input as well, so they blocked it.
As for Yaw, it's done with keyboard by default - no problem at all.
If you use a joystick, that's another thing.
I think it's just a matter of "lack of develop time" why there's no separation for joystick. Hopefully the upcoming patch will fix this.
