TrackIR 5.1.300

Post by FSVKenny »

Hi.

I hope someone can help me with this.

I am running TrackIR 5.1.300 on Windows 7 64-bit 4 GB of ram Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz, with both Flight Sim 9 and Flight SimX. TrackIR works great with Flight Sim 9, but I've been having some real problems with FSX.

For the most part the frame rates in FSX are good, 35, 40 and up to 70 and 80. Well anyway's TrackIR from time to time becomes quite jerky. I thought it might be Flight Sim X, but when I pause TrackIR Flight Sim is smooth. It as even crashed FSX on several occasions.

Please any help with this would be appreciated.

Hello -

My first question would be: Do you have any peripherals plugged in for flight simming other than TrackIR? (Pedals, BIP, et. cetera)

Additionally, does this problem occur if you start both programs by right clicking on the icons and selecting "run as administrator" instead of double clicking?

Thank you for the reply.

Saitek yoke, pedals, saitek autopilot and a ch throttle quadrant. I know a bit over board.

Yes the problem occurs when I run it as administrator. The only thing that seem to help is by going in to task manager and running Track IR in realtime. I don't know if that's a bad thing or not. Again thank you for the reply.

It's probably not ideal to run it that way, but it does give us a place to start from.

Unplug all the flight equipment and start a flight, then see if it causes any issues. If it doesn't, plug in one piece of gear, and do it again, repeat until you find the straw that breaks the camel's back, and report back with your findings.

Thank you for the help.

I looks like the Saitek PRO Flight Multi Panel for PC Saitek PRO Flight Multi Panel for PC is the one in question. I think it has more to do with the SPAD drivers "Saitek Panels Advanced Driver" SPAD I'm running for the Saitek Autopilot panel. Saitek's drivers are no good, thay don't work with both Flight Sim's.
