V120:SLIM Wireless Applications

Post by JohnnyMonocle »

Has anyone ever tried using one of the Optitrack cameras for a more wireless application, like say a mobile robot. I'm interested in trying to send the camera's object information (not a whole image) from a V120:SLIM Via Bluetooth.

Does anyone know what the power requirements would be like for a V120:SLIM, or how to get started on figuring that out? Or if there is any other hurdles that would make this feat impossible?

I don't know that the wireless approach would work, due to latency issues. V120:Slim cameras operate at 120fps, which transmits a frame of data every 8.33 milliseconds. Wireless latency could easily cause issues with this.
