Right green light always on

Hello everyone!

I'm a very proud owner of TrackIR 5 for several months, something that has brought an immense amount of realism and immersion to my flying.

Anyway, I'me having a bit of a problem in the last few days. I use TrackIR solely in FSX. The thing is, when I close FSX, the right green light stays on, something that I know it shouldn't do. That green light, according to the manual, means that "A TrackIR Enhanced Title IS running and has registered with the TrackIR software to receive tracking data." Except that FSX is not running, because I closed it.

With this situation, if I restart FSX the green light turns off (lol), and TrackIR stops working within the sim. At this point, I need to close and restart TrackIR for it to connect to FSX and start working properly again.

Now, What I've done to troubleshoot this issue was verify that the TrackIR software was updated. It was, so I completely removed it and re-installed. Problem persists. I'm starting to think that there may be some kind of incompatibility with one of my addons or something.

Anyway, I hope someone can help me with this. Hopefully my english is good enough for you to understand.

When this happens, check your task manager. Does "TrackIR5.exe *32" appear in the processes tab? Is fsx.exe in there?

Hi Mike.

Yes, TrackIR5.exe *32 appears in the processes tab. fsx.exe doesn't.

Note that fsx always closes normally. TrackIR doesn't seem to realize this and maintains a "connected" status. Restarting FSX at this point makes TrackIR "disconnect". I hope I'm explaining this phenomena in a perceptible manner.

This is a known issue in 5.1.3 and is scheduled to be addressed in a future version of TrackIR. At the moment it should be just fine to kill the process manually.
