New Track IR5 on the way-couple questions please

Greetings,

I have been a supporter of the Track IR device since getting my first one - The Track IR3. I then later got the Vector Expansion for it, and after that the Track IR4 pro.
I have been extremely pleased with this device, mainly for all my flight simming.

I am pleased to say just this morning, I placed an order directly with NP for the Track IR5 Pro bundle. Really looking forward to having the most up to date device. Not sure I will ever use the head clip device, but at least I will have just in case. I normally do not wear a headphone. I presume the bundle will still also include the hat clip...

Now on to my 2 questions:

1: I currently run the latest release of the version 5 software with my Track IR4. I assume it is still probably best, to uninstall the software prior to hooking up the new Track IR5? And if so, is there a better " method" to go about this uninstall-reinstall of the hardware and software?

2: Any more word or interest from MS, in regards to their new Flight program offering native support for Track IR? I have emailed the Flight team a couple of times already and have been encouraging many in the Flight forums to do the same. I am hoping the more they hear from us, the better chance of this getting implemented. Just curious if you guys had any recent information you can share regarding native Track IR support in Flight?

Hope you enjoy your new TrackIR 5!

- There is no need to reinstall the software. Just plug in your new unit and you should be good to go.

- The MS Flight team seems to really want to implement TrackIR in time, but they don't have an estimate for me on when that might be. Keep the pressure up, though, as community feedback will be one of the biggest factors in moving TrackIR integration up their priority list.

Seth - that is good news in not needing to uninstall/reinstall the software. Often times when one has to do that can run into issue. Glad to hear it is that simple when changing from the 4 to the 5 version of the hardware...
