Tracking stops when i tab in and out of game

I've been playing IL2 1946 v4.11 and all of a sudden when i tab out and then back into the game, my track ir no longer recognises it as a track ir enhanced game so i have to shut the game down and start it up again and it works until i tab out. Is it a problem with track ir or with the game because i have tested it on v4.10.1 and when i tab in and out it still recognises the game.
i have track ir 4 pro with track ir 5 software, any help would be much appreciated

It may be with the game, when you tab out and in does the right hand light on the TrackIR go out?

do you mean the blue light that indicates it's a TrackIR enhanced game? Then yes. I'm starting to think its the game as well as i have tried it with other versions of the game and they all work fine so it probably is the game.

Likely, I'd try troubleshooting a bit down that path.

Also - My mistake, my reference to the right hand light was under the assumption the camera was a TrackIR 5. TrackIR 4 units have the blue light that serves the same purpose.
