Unable to install drivers win7 ultimate

After installing win7x64 I can�t install the software, I get the error � error extracting support files � parameter is incorrect �

I have spent many frustrating hours trying to fix this problem without success and found similar problems on line but no solution.

Below is the only info I could find, can you help please.

This is the second TrackIR that I have bought and up to now I have had no problems but this is driving me insane.

The problem persists.

In the Device Manager under NaturalPoint it has the item "TrackIR4Pro" listed and under drivers it says "the best drivers are already loaded for this device."

In Control panel/uninstall or change a program it lists TrackIR5 but that gets the error message "error extracting support files/paramater incorrect" when clicked. This is the same error message if trying to reinstall drivers. When shortcut is used to try to start TrackIR I get a curt message "error"


I can't use this product.

It looks like I've been working with you via email. The issue is that there is something preventing the TrackIR installer from running on your machine. Windows control panel uninstall also uses the installer to remove the program from your machine, which is why its not running there.

The download in the link you mentioned earlier is specifically a version of TrackIR 5 that does not use the installer. It's meant to be unzipped, placed into your Program Files (or Program Files (x86) if you're using a 64 bit OS) directory, and run directly from there.

Problem solved.
Removed latest drivers from ATI graphics card and replaced
with old ones, TrackIR installed normaly and works perfectly.
Must have been some wiered conflict.
