TrackIR 5 losing the track clip

anyone experienced an issue where the camera loses the track of the trackclip every 15 secs or so? seems like when i am holding relatively still it loses track and I have to move my head to regain it. In game, this is annoying but it happens just sitting at the TrackIR software screen. if i sit still for a few seconds, my tracking is lost and the green light on the left turns off...

any help is appreciated. i will continue to search topics while awaiting posts...

Using Win7 and trackir 5.1.3 drivers...

Look at the clip while it's doing this, do the dim red lights in the clip fade out at all?

Thanks for the reply, but i think you are talking about the trackclip pro, this is the hat clip...
Or, are you talking about the points of light in the TIR software?

ok, figured it out accidentally. i hope you laugh as much as i felt stupid. last time i jumped in to test it, i accidentally left a light source on behind me and saw the same behavior (as expected). but when i turned off that light source and made sure the brighter light in front of me was on, i realized there was a small red dot showing a light source behind me. after some searching behind my seat, i found an iron reflecting the light in front of my seat. must have been just enough to mess with the camera. once i turned the iron, i saw the red dot disappear. no problems since...
