New to TIR and having problems setting yaw

I just got my new TIR5 yesterday and have tried various profiles (I fly AH2) I am not able to set my yaw in the negative degrees with any success. I am able to set yaw in the positve and it has a nice motion stopping at 180 degrees (using the limit button) I am unsure of how to limit motion in the opposite direction as it hits -180 degrees then spikes very quickly to the end of the scale and doesnt seem to stop, placing my head in some crazy position. How do I stop the range of motion in the -degrees. Forgive my noobness as this has probably already been covered several times , yet I have been unable to find the topic in my limited amount of time here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using the limit option should automatically limit head travel to 180 degrees regardless of which side it is. Are you using a TrackClip (clips to a hat) or TrackClip Pro (clips to a headset)?

I was using the pro clip when that was going on. I gave the hat clip a try and it didnt seem to do it. I just re tryed with the hat clip and both side move smoothly to 180 degrees with no spiking. Its definitly going to take some time to get used to, Ive always used instant view in game. Thanks for the responsed I appreciate it.

If switching to the TrackClip fixed the spikey movement to one side you might have had a camera placement issue. With the TrackClip Pro you should set the TrackIR a bit to the left side of the monitor so that it is directly in front of the TrackClip Pro.

No originally I had my camera set up on the left side of my screen (pro clip), then moved it to center (Hat clip). I am wondering now if I (my head) was out of camera contact on a full look behind (to the right) sweep. I have practiced in game using the hat clip and I like how the views feel, but once again it will take some time to become fully emersed with it.

In the TrackIR software HUD section there should be a box that shows what the camera is seeing. If it finds a TrackClip it will be represented by 3 green spots. You can use this to tell if the TrackIR is loosing track when trying to look behind you.

It seems that using the hat clip helped, which typically indicates that one of the Pro Clip points was being lost by the camera. You should definitely keep an eye on the HUD's 3-point perspective so you can spot anything that slides out when you turn. The motion should seem much smoother once everything tracks reliably.
